Kamalia & Tsajon Von Lixfeld come from a lifetime in the jewelry trade. Tsajon is a graduate gemologist and antique dealer, whose designs are influenced by the great artistic traditions of Asia, particularly India, where he has spent a great deal of his time studying the art and culture. His jewelry designing career started in Nepal where he helped launch a major export trade in ethnic silver jewelry. Using some of the more traditional Nepalese and Tibetan art forms, he designed a whole line of silver jewelry. Now he has refined his interest in jewelry exclusively to high karat gold pieces from India. As an expert in Indo-Tibetan art, his greatest joy is in finding magnificent antique jewelry and artifacts from the past. Kamalia comes from a more esoteric side of the jewelry trade, having begun her career designing one-of-a-kind gemstone pieces that empower the wearer. As she says, "I am influenced by nature in my designs. God’s creation reveals harmony and perfect symmetry. I sense the energy of an individual’s needs and make a piece of jewelry with the appropriate gemstone and precious metal for their empowerment." She draws much of her knowledge from the ancient Vedic (Jyotish) astrological gemstone prescriptions that require the use of only the finest materials. Kamalia has exhibited in a number of Beverly Hills, New York, and Hawaii galleries. |
